We meet one day each week during the fall and spring semesters. Co-op days are held in Ellis County, Texas. Our fall semester runs September through November, and our spring semester runs January to May. See our Rhythm page for the full calendar.

We currently offer elective classes for students PK through 10th grade, grouped by age and stage.

No. Deep Roots is a homeschool co-op. Parents remain the primary educators of their children. We provide a community day each week with parent-led elective classes, plus events, field trips, and friendships throughout the semester.

Deep Roots is a Christian collective, and our community life is shaped by that. We welcome families from across Christian traditions. Families who join should be comfortable with prayer, Bible study, and Christian formation as part of co-op life.

Total registration is $300 per family per semester. This covers application, background checks, location, supply fees, and classes for the whole family for the semester. A $75 nonrefundable deposit is required to apply, and it goes toward the total registration cost.

Yes. Deep Roots is a co-op, not a drop-off program. Every family contributes through volunteering, teaching, or serving on a committee.

We don't prescribe a homeschool curriculum for our families. Each family chooses what works for their children at home, and our co-op classes complement that work as electives in STEAM, nature, and life skills.

Our class lineup changes each semester based on the children we serve and the parents teaching. You can see the current semester's offerings by visiting the Our Rhythm page.

Celebration Day and Market is our end-of-semester gathering where students share what they've been learning. Part showcase, part festival, part marketplace. It's one of the highlights of our year.

Enrollment for the fall semester typically opens in April for returning families, and May for new families. Spring enrollment opens in October for returning families and November for new families. Apply anytime to be considered for the next available semester, or follow our Facebook page for announcements.

If cost is a barrier for your family, please reach out. We do our best to support families who want to be part of Deep Roots.

We host a Kick-Off Party at the start of each semester and a Celebration Day at the end, both of which are great ways to meet our community. We don't typically host visitors during regular co-op days, but we'd love to connect with you in person at an event or by phone first.
